Stronger than MFA. Without the prompts.
NearAuth.ai signs employees in when their own phone is next to their own computer, and keeps checking all day. There's no code to type, no push to approve and nothing to phish. Your company gets sign-in that's harder to break, and every employee gets back the minutes MFA takes from them.
For the company: stronger security
Attackers no longer just steal passwords. They relay codes through fake login pages, flood people with push requests until one gets approved, and call as the "IT help desk." NearAuth.ai gives them nothing to ask for: access depends on a specific phone being physically beside a specific computer, checked by our server. For every employee: time back
Each prompt means stopping, finding the phone, unlocking it, approving, and getting back to what they were doing. A few a day adds up to hours a year per person. With NearAuth.ai they sit down and they're signed in. Calculate it for your team. How it compares
| Text or app codes | Push approval | Passkeys | NearAuth.ai | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stops fake login pages that relay your sign-in | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Stops push flooding ("MFA fatigue") | Yes | No | Yes | Yes, nothing to approve |
| A caller can talk someone into handing it over | Yes, a code can be read out | Yes, "please tap approve" | Harder | Nothing to read out or approve |
| Prompts in a normal working day | Several | Several | A touch or face scan each sign-in | None at the desk |
| Locks when the employee walks away | No | No | No | Yes |
| Keeps checking after sign-in | No | No | No | Yes, all day |
Passkeys are a big step up, and NearAuth.ai works alongside them. NearAuth.ai adds what happens after sign-in: continuous presence and an automatic lock when the person leaves. Read how attackers are using "passkey" as bait in help-desk scams and relaying second factors through fake pages.
How it works
Pair once
Each employee installs the NearAuth.ai app on their phone and computer and pairs them. Each device's key is kept in its secure hardware.Sit down, signed in
The two devices prove to our server, over an encrypted Bluetooth link, that they're together. Google, Microsoft and your other apps let the person in with no prompt.Walk away, locked
When the phone leaves, access ends. Away from the office, you can require a quick Face ID or fingerprint approval on the phone.Works with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, SAML and OpenID Connect apps, and Linux SSH, on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows.
Honest limits
NearAuth.ai needs its app on each employee's phone and computer, with Bluetooth on. And if someone is talked into signing in at their own desk with their own phone, no second factor can tell that apart from them doing it on purpose. That's why we pair proximity with checks for remote-control software and other users on the screen.
Privacy by design
No passwords, keystrokes, screenshots, GPS tracking or biometric data. Fingerprint and face checks stay on the phone. See our Privacy Policy and subprocessors.
Free 30-day pilot
- For 5 to 20 employees, with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Free for teams of up to 12 after that.
- Most teams have their first five people running in about 15 minutes.
- We measure both claims with you: MFA prompts per person before and during the pilot, and a phishing or push-flooding test that fails without the employee's phone.
- At the end, we review the results together. No charge, no commitment.
